Welcome to Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons Recreational Vessel Courtesy Check (RVCC) promotion and training site. Thank you for your volunteer effort and interest in conducting RVCCs. It is our hope that these videos will provide you with the encouragement and the requisite training you and your Squadron needs to provide a successful RVCC program to the boating public.

The Canadian Power and Sail Squadron’s RVCC Training videos and Declaration forms are right here at smartboater.ca, an ongoing project of the Canadian Safe Boating Council. If you are not familiar with this site, you will find some excellent resources to help you with your instructor activities or anything else you are working on that is related to boating safety. It is a great site and CPS is proud to be a partner.

Please review the training video, then download and fill out the declaration statement indicating that you have viewed the video and understand it. Sign and date the Declaration, include the name of your Squadron and then return it to CPS Headquarters to the attention of John Gullick. You can e mail, Fax or mail a hard copy. It is our hope that this video will act as a quick reference anytime you have a question or want a refresher.

When you have completed this task you can begin ordering your RVCC materials direct from CPS Ship’s Stores.

If you have any questions please contact John Gullick, Manager of Government and Special Programmes, at: jgullick@cps-ecp.ca
