Andrew Queen, a well known Children’s musician, received a request from the Northumberland OPP to promote boating safety awareness at the Hastings Waterfront Festival in Hastings, Ontario. Andrew, doing what he does best, created a catchy children’s tune about safe boating practices. The tune, titled “I Love Boating”, celebrates the fun of boating and covers many of the important messages for ‘a safe trip’ on the water. With its catchy lyrics and bumping rhythms, “I Love Boating” is one of many on Andrew’s new CD ‘Too Tall’ and has been graciously provided by Andrew for anyone who wishes to download it for use in boating safety outreach initiatives and education. Just remember to credit Andrew’s work and new album, Too Tall, which is full of original fairy tale tunes, old camp favourites and body bending action songs that get kids and adults alike, giggling, grooving and singing along.

Andrew sings and plays a Martin D-16 acoustic guitar, with a hint of jug and kazoo. Along with his swingin’ and hootin’ band, the Crocodaddies, Andrew has sung and played his way from coast to coast for audiences of all types. As a Family Folkster, Andrew has performed at libraries, schools, community events across Ontario, as well as the side stages, main stages and family stages at all types of folk festivals. Andrew and the Crocodaddies record and perform using a variety of instruments, including the fiddle, banjo, harmonica, and bass. Together, Andrew and his band have received great reviews for their music.

Parents’ Choice gave his 2010 release, Too Tall, their Recommended Award, saying that Andrew “sings in an expressive, rich voice, and composes songs that have kid-appeal written all over them”. Roots Music Canada commented on the album, expressing it to be “fantastic family fare”. With his catchy tunes, people of all ages can’t help but sing along with his high energy, big laughs, and tall tales. “Too Tall is too much fun!”
